Our Story
Succulent Fine Dining embraces California's Napa Valley's laid-back vibe and flavors of the land. Succulent is the love child of restaurateur Shawn Virene, owner & operator of the popular champagne-fueled a’Bouzy. Virene brings nearly 40 years of success in the restaurant industry, having shaped his reputation on culinary innovation and exceptional guest experiences. Known for his expertise in curating sophisticated wine programs and his love of travel, coastal cuisine, and horticulture, Virene brings his passion for Napa Valley, farm-fresh produce, and gardening to Succulent. The menu takes it cues from fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from the West Coast and local farms, including his family-owned Huckleberry Farms in Round Top, Texas. Complemented by house-grown herbs and vegetables Virene cultivates on-site. The menu marries prep & technique – brining, marinating, and use of flavorful sauces. Succulent embodies the essence of approachable, progressive, “up country” farm-to-table dining and a wine list that favors California vintages.
